initially I wanted to know how much money I had spent at McDonald's until now

after having imported your pdf bank statement, it is parsed and saved into a local database

during the importation, the bank statement is turned into text (see the library I wrote for this purpose) to ease the parsing process

now you can visually compare how much money you've spent in each shop
